At EP Packaging we recycle all of our waste. From the excess plastic to the cardboard wrappings on our consumables.
Kind To The Environment

Our choice of which specific film to use for a particular application [which decision is of course made in conjunction with our customer] has always been based firstly upon technical and aesthetic requirements, and then of course costs.

The materials which we currently process are as follows:

PVC Recyclable, good rigidity and impact strength, good clarity sparkle. Suitable for contact with chocolate and other high fat content products. Good slip for auto de-nests and good forming characteristics.
APET Recyclable, good rigidity, clarity and sparkle. Very good impact strength but expensive polymer. Possible auto de-nest problems if material is not specified with slip additive.
OPS Recyclable, good rigidity but impact strength & resistance to fracture needs to further improve. Good clarity and sparkle. Possible taint problems with chocolate and high fat content products due to styrene polymer. Good slip and auto de-nest.
HIPS Recyclable, good rigidity. Reasonable clarity but tendency to split and crack in demanding applications. Taint problems with chocolate and other high fat content products. Poor slip so possible auto de-nest problems.
POLYPROPLENE Recyclable, poor rigidity and clarity ( but improving) and very "dull" material. Good slip, needs sophisticated machinery and tools to thermoform at present.

At EP, we are able to process all of the above materials but certain materials will only work on specific types of thermoforming process, i.e. not all materials will work on all our 22 production lines.
